What is a line?

What is a line, and what can it do?

“There are lines, Manahil! We don’t cross those lines!” -My mother

A line can be many things, but one definition that stands out to me is that it can be a limit or a boundary drawn out by our cultures or families to protect us from entering unfamiliar territories.

What can it do? It can protect us, but it can also limit our lives and experiences. We are called to examine these lines to determine whether they genuinely protect us or restrict our lives, forcing us to conform to norms that may be comfortable for others. If that is the case, we can cross those lines!

I designed my posters to be striking and bold, representing the experience and courage it takes to cross those lines. The lines are red because they are often referred to as "red lines" in some cultures. The act of breaking through these lines allows light into your life, which I represent with white against the black background. The lines start small but become bolder and more difficult to cross as you progress.
