Working with an existing brand in this project, I learned that branding goes beyond the visuals.

I was commissioned to enhance the Instagram presence of Insan Academy, a local Montessori kindergarten, by addressing inconsistencies and establishing a cohesive social media branding guideline. The absence of a branding book led to a cluttered Instagram feed, resulting in reduced engagement and difficulty in maintaining a consistent look.

I analyzed their social media feed and compared it to that of their competitors in the educational field. I categorized their posts into different types, such as photography, text-based posts, and informative carousel posts. From this analysis, I developed best practices for each category, including clear do's and don'ts with specific examples. Additionally, I created a strategy for combining these categories in their feed to ensure visual appeal, consistency, and intentionality.

My work with Insan Academy extended to planning a monthly feed of 24 posts, curating content, editing photographs, and copywriting for each post. The impact of implementing these guidelines on their Instagram feed has been significant.

Before: Photos were selected randomly, lacking editing, which created visual clutter. The overall feed was neither intentional nor engaging for the audience.

After: The feed became brighter, with carefully curated and pre-planned photos and posts. We saw an immediate increase in engagement within the first week of applying these guidelines. Any changes in the layout were deliberate, whether for specific campaigns or special events. By adopting a cohesive and strategic approach to their social media, we achieved measurable growth in both follower count and engagement.
